TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - The Soekarno-Hatta International Airport has started the operations of Umrah Terminal, which is capable of accommodating up to 2,000 pilgrims every day. The terminal is equipped with a spacious and comfortable mosque and Umrah lounge.
The assistant deputy of communication and legal of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, M. Holik Muardi, confirmed the operations of Umrah Terminal on Thursday, February 27, 2025.
Holik mentioned that the Umrah Terminal is part of the revitalization efforts for Terminal 2 at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Located at Terminal 2F, the facility is intended for hajj and umrah pilgrims, supported by various facilities including a spacious waiting area, a lounge, a mosque and a place for conducting manasik (hajj and umrah preparation).
"So before their embarkation, pilgrims can spend time in the mosque, lounge, and practice manasik, which can help pilgrims feel more comfortable before departing to Mecca or Medina to perform umrah," said Holik.

The terminal currently operates Umrah flights from the Chartered Flights of Garuda Indonesia and Lion Air. "In the future, all international flights to Medina and Mecca will operate in 2F," said Holik.
Spacious Mosque
The mosque is located on the 3rd floor of the terminal, promising a spacious and comfortable space to accommodate up to 800 people. Umrah pilgrims can use this facility for prayer and recitation while waiting for their flight.
Spacious Lounge
The Umrah Terminal is also equipped with a huge Umrah Lounge with a capacity of 1,000 people. This lounge is located on the 2nd floor and equipped with hundreds of chairs, tables, and sofas, a buffet dining area, and a place for umrah manasik.
Spacious and Comfortable Terminal Lobby
The 2F Umrah Terminal at Soekarno Hatta Airport also has a spacious lobby, allowing it to accommodate thousands of pilgrims who arrive every day. After entering Terminal 2F, Umrah pilgrims will be directed to the special Umrah lobby.
