Aaron Rodgers says the 'racy' DM scandal surrounding his new teammate Drew Allar was the talk of the Steelers locker room.
But he has set the record straight in defense of his fellow quarterback after he went viral for all the wrong reasons during his college career.
Screenshots of alleged direct messages between Allar and a woman circulated across social media in 2025, while he was still at Penn State. He faced online ridicule despite many believing the messages of him trying to invite her over were fabricated.
Allar is now teammates with Rodgers after being picked up by the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he has earned a spot on the roster with the team deciding to carry four quarterbacks.
And Rodgers opened up on the scandal, revealing the 'racy' messages even made it to their locker room before Allar arrived.

'He definitely wanted me to come on here and say it's not true and that's made up. But, it's out there. It's a little racy. A little racy.'
'Racy or racist?' Heyward asked, to which Rodgers clarified: 'Racy'.
'But he's been in a committed relationship for a long time. He's very happy and none of that was ever true.'
Heyward added: 'Thank you for clearing that up. Look at you being a great teammate.'
Rodgers revealed: 'When I heard Drew Allar, first thing I thought was 'Ah that DM.' Cause I remember seeing that,' he said.
'It went around the quarterback rooms because quarterback rooms are like that. 'Hey, did you see this kid in college? These DMs?' I was like 'Oh s*** man.
'The first thing I said to him was 'Hey, did that DM thing ever get you in trouble?'
'Especially when he was like 'Yeah, I've been with my girlfriend for a long time.' I was like 'You got through that DM scandal then, huh?''

Rodgers has seen Allar earn a spot on the roster with the team keeping four quarterbacks
Allar and his high school sweetheart Emma Bush have been dating since 2019, when they attended Medina High School in Ohio together.
They went to separate colleges - Bush attending Ohio State while Allar was at Penn State. But she still regularly attended his games to support the quarterback.
They shared photos together on NFL Draft night with a Steelers jersey as he was picked in the third round by Pittsburgh.
Allar's preseason performances convinced the Steelers to keep him on the roster along with second-year former Ohio State quarterback Will Howard with Mason Rudolph backing up Rodgers.
There appears to be one eye on the future before Rodgers retires at the end of the season, and the veteran gave his perspective on the battle behind him.
'I think he kinda just closed the door on that — who is going to be the backup conversation,' Rodgers said.
'Now, obviously Drew and Will played really well, especially in the first game. I was proud of both those guys. I love Will [Howard].
'He has been in my hip pocket for a year now, learning. It's fun to see him go out there because he's basically a rookie. He didn't play last year in the preseason and performed the way he did.
'Drew has been a sponge as well. Quiet, as most rookies are, but it's one of my all-time rooms for sure.'
