Bill Belichick has been called out by a top college recruit who decided to snub UNC.

Keshawn Stancil, a top-10 recruit in the state of North Carolina according to Rivals, received an offer to play for the Tar Heels as well as a litany of other schools.

But the four-star prospect explained how seeing Belichick sign a 'bum' before reaching out to him led him to reject the school.

'I seen a bum commit to UNC, then Bill called,' he wrote on Instagram, as she shared photos from a visit to in-state rivals NC State. 'I felt played so I went to the owners.'

In the series of photos, Stancil could be seen posing in a full NC State uniform.

UNC leads the all-time series 68-40-6, though NC State have won the last four contests.

Ultimately, Stancil decided to leave the state altogether as his commitment to Clemson was announced on Saturday.

He also received offers from Miami, Auburn, Florida and more.

Nonetheless, Belichick has injected some talent into UNC as the Tar Heels have the 40th-best recruiting class in the country as of Saturday according to Rivals.

The former Patriots coach has managed to lure two four-star recruits to Chapel Hill, including defensive tackle Trashawn Ruffin.

Belichick's tenure at UNC has so far been largely overshadowed by headlines surrounding his relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson.

A string of explosive reports have emerged over recent weeks, in the wake of a humiliating interview with CBS, when Hudson shut down questions about the start of their relationship.

And published by WRAL last week detail the fallout from the CBS interview.

They show that disgruntled fans felt the relationship was turning the school into a 'laughing stock'. In the emails, however, Belichick defended Hudson and their romance.

He also explained why his young girlfriend was at the interview, which was organized to promote his new book: 'The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football.'

'Jordon was present at the CBS interview because David Kass, the Simon & Schuster publicist, was not there,' Belichick claimed.

'I included Jordon in the book acknowledgments because she was a creative contributor to the book, including having the idea for formatting the 4 special pages in the book.'

According to WRAL News, however, Hudson intended to sit in on the April 21 interview regardless of whether Kass was there.
