TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Vice Chair of the Gerindra Party, Habiburokhman, stated that Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has given directions on handling the alleged corruption case involving former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah. He mentioned that the head of state wants solidarity among law enforcement institutions.
"Mr. Prabowo definitely wants all law enforcement to be solid, all out," said Habiburokhman in the DPR complex, Jakarta on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
The Chair of the House of Representatives (DPR)'s Commission III mentioned that he has facilitated a meeting between the National Police and the Attorney General's Office. According to him, both law enforcement institutions have committed to working together in resolving three corruption cases allegedly involving Febrie Adriansyah.
Febrie Adriansyah has been named a suspect in the alleged corruption cases of PT Asabri, PT Krakatau Steel, and the corruption related to coal supply that led to power outages in several areas. The suspect status was announced shortly after Febrie Adriansyah resigned as Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes at the Attorney General's Office.
Habiburokhman emphasized that law enforcement must continue to pursue the alleged corruption cases. "This resignation should not slacken or halt the ongoing law enforcement efforts," he said.
This law commission has formed a task force monitoring team. Habiburokhman stated that this is their commitment to ensure a thorough investigation of the case.
"In Commission III, we will continue to ensure that the supervisory function runs optimally," he said.
Furthermore, he mentioned that the alleged corruption cases being investigated by law enforcement authorities are not policies originating from agencies. Instead, he noted that it involves personal or individual corruption cases.
"Therefore, there should be absolutely no confrontation or sectoral ego conflict between institutions," he said.
