In a bizarre twist at the World Cup of Darts, Czech player Petr Krivka seemingly lost a tooth mid-celebration after securing a dramatic victory over India.

The incident, captured in a viral video shared on X, shows Krivka throwing the match-winning dart into the D20 and celebrating with teammate Karel Sedlacek at the Eissporthalle in Frankfurt.

The moment of triumph quickly turned into a scene of unexpected comedy when Krivka's reaction caused him to dislodge a tooth, leaving the commentator in disbelief.

The match, part of the tournament that features 40 national teams, saw Czechia edge out India with a score of 4-2.

England, led by the dynamic duo of Luke Littler and Luke Humphries, remain the tournament favourites.

However, the defending champions will have to wait until Saturday to get their campaigns underway as they are a seeded nation.

Krivka quickly spotted his missing tooth and reached down to grab it off the floor

He placed it inside his pocket before shaking his opponent's hand after the 4-2 victory

The duo will be teaming up just two weeks after facing in the Premier League Darts final, where Humphries triumphed 11-8 in the final and claimed the £275,000 prize pot.

'I had a little bit of a think after the game,' a reflective Littler admitted to Sky Sports after the game. 'No one likes losing but I'm fine and glad to say it's over, it's been a tough 17 weeks and I'm very happy it's over. Back next year.

'I have set many records and personally I don't think they'll be broken. I am going to go next year and try and break my own records.' Those records include the most 180s in a season, most nightly wins and the most points.

Littler may be the face of darts, but he is still not world No 1. Humphries won everything the year Littler burst onto the scene and is defending a lot of prize money. Littler, naturally, wants his spot.

'We all know Luke is defending a lot of prize money this year,' he exclusively told Mail Sport via BetMGM last month.

'For myself I am hoping he doesn't defend it all to remain No 1 but In can only do so well for myself. I want to get No 1 before the World Championship starts.'
