TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Forest Area Supervision Task Force (Satgas PKH) spokesperson Barita Simanjuntak emphasized that naming former Deputy Attorney General for Special Criminal Cases Febrie Adriansyah a corruption suspect would not disrupt their performance.
Febrie previously served as the executive director of the task force. Regarding his replacement, Barita left the decision entirely to the Attorney General's Office.
"The Attorney General's Office will clarify that later," Barita said at the Ministry of Defense office in Jakarta on Monday, July 13, 2026. At the time of publication, AGO Legal Information Center head Anang Supriatna had not responded to requests for confirmation.
System-Driven Operations, Not Dependent on Individuals
Barita assured that the organizational wheels of the PKH Task Force will continue to run normally because the institution operates based on a governance system, not on individuals.
All steps taken by the task force are carried out through legal approaches and refer to the three main functions regulated in Presidential Regulation Number 5 of 2025. This regulation serves as the basis for actions to supervise forest areas to improve the governance of mining, plantations, and other illegal activities.
"The task of the task force has been ongoing and smooth," said Barita.
He added that the PKH Task Force has a control and supervision system that is regularly evaluated. "As a basis for making corrections, evaluations, and actions in line with what is regulated by the Presidential Regulation."
Defense Minister Convenes PKH Task Force Leaders
On Monday morning, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, as the Chairperson of the Supervisory Task Force, gathered the task force leaders at the Ministry of Defense office in Central Jakarta.
The meeting was held to discuss the optimization, synchronization, and evaluation of tasks in the field. During the meeting, Defense Minister Sjafrie emphasized the importance of good governance to maintain the role of the task force in supervising forest areas, collecting administrative fines, and recovering state assets.
"The task of this task force is continuously evaluated based on field findings, data verification, and validation. Every action must be based on the principle of accountability," said Barita.
