Danantara Indonesia Assures No Layoffs at PT INTI

6 hours ago 18

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The head of the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Body, who also serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Danantara Indonesia, Dony Oskaria, stated that they are evaluating the closure of PT Industri Telekomunikasi Indonesia (INTI) and ensuring that no employees will be laid off.

"An assessment (evaluation of PT INTI's closure) is being conducted. It's being checked. As I mentioned about streamlining," said Dony when met at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, on Monday, May 25, 2026, as reported by ANTARA.

During the event, Dony mentioned that Danantara is currently verifying PT INTI. On the other hand, he ensures that no employees would be laid off at INTI.

Dony believes that restructuring SOEs will not lead to job losses for employees of related companies. "The employees are safe. As we have said, there will be no layoffs," said Dony.

The SOEs Regulatory Body and the Ministry of Manpower are pushing for strengthened synergy through strategic cooperation plans. These plans aim to ensure that the SOEs' transformation process runs according to the principle of "no one left behind" while still guaranteeing no reduction in employee rights.

The synergy between the SOEs Regulatory Body and the Ministry of Manpower is part of the effort to ensure that the transformation of SOEs continues to run healthily, professionally, and sustainably, emphasizing the protection of all company personnel.

The SOEs Regulatory Body and Danantara reaffirm their commitment to ensuring that SOE transformation strengthens company performance while continuing to provide employees with protection and certainty.

In mid-May 2026, Dony announced the restructuring of 180 companies under the SOEs umbrella as a step towards more effective, efficient, and focused core business operations.

This restructuring is part of a comprehensive transformation aimed at simplifying corporate structures, reducing business overlaps, and ensuring that each entity plays a clear role in creating economic value and strengthening national competitiveness.
