Loved-up newlyweds Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce seen in rare selfie after Kansas City Chiefs' NFL Week 1 win

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift posed for a sweet selfie with a fan in the wake of the Kansas City Chiefs' Week 1 win over the Denver Broncos on Monday night.

The loved-up pair haven't been seen much together in the wake of their Madison Square Garden wedding in July, but fans were treated to a new snap this week.

The image, which was posted on social media by Texas A&M insider Billy Liucci to his 10,000 followers, showed Kelce - decked in a green polo shirt - with his arm round the man, while Swift took the photo at the front.

Both of the A-listers beamed for the camera as they gave a glimpse into their new married life - and there was certainly reason to be cheerful after Kansas City's dominant opening-day win.

It is understood that the photo was taken after the game, with Travis having showered and changed before meeting up with his now-wife Swift and their pals.

It is unclear whether it was taken at the stadium, or at an alternative venue such as 1587 Prime - Kelce and Patrick Mahomes' restaurant that the group often frequent after games.

The reason for Liucci's presence with the love-birds is also unclear - he is the executive editor of TexAgs and a longtime Texas A&M insider, but there is no obvious connection between him and the couple.

The new photo of Travis and Taylor comes on the same week that the Chiefs tight end used his New Heights podcast to gush over his wife's ever-improving football knowledge.

He had previously admitted that she came into their relationship lacking in the details, once believing that players were 'basically out there boxing each other on the field'.

Now, though, she has dived head first into the nuances of her husband's passion, and is regularly seen wildly cheering at games, be it at Arrowhead or further afield.

Speaking to Tom Cruise on this week's bonus edition of New Heights, Kelce said: 'Now she knows everything. She sees the flags coming in, like, "Oh, that might be a defensive hold." [I'm] like, "What'd you say, sweetie?" 

'She's like, "That's encroachment." I'm like, "You know what that is?" She's on it now. She's fully engulfed in it.'

Cruise agreed with the sentiment, claiming that Swift was 'schooling me' as they sat together to watch Travis and his teammates beat the Denver Broncos 31-10.

'Just a beautiful couple, in every way,' he added of the newlyweds. 

Kelce and Swift got married back in July at an extravagant ceremony at Madison Square Garden, renting the world's most famous arena out for 1,000 of their nearest and dearest.
