TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto delivered a briefing to around 1,000 officer students from various Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and National Police educational institutions at the Army Staff and Command School, or Seskoad, in Bandung, West Java, on Monday, May 25, 2026.
During the event, Prabowo also inaugurated a library and museum at the Seskoad complex.
Participants included officer students from the Army Staff and Command School, the National Police Officer Staff and Leadership School, the Army Staff College, Navy Staff College, Air Force Staff College, as well as the Police Staff and Mid-Level Leadership School.
The event was shared in a video posted on Instagram by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya through the @sekretariat.kabinet account.
“President Prabowo gave a briefing to around 1,000 officer students from the TNI Staff and Command School and the National Police leadership schools,” Teddy wrote in the caption on Monday.
The video showed TNI and police officer students gathered in a hall awaiting instructions from the president. A screen displayed the words, “Briefing by the President of the Republic of Indonesia.” The footage also featured the newly inaugurated library and museum.
Prabowo has previously addressed Seskoad officer students before assuming the presidency. In September 2022, while serving as Indonesia’s defense minister, he delivered a lecture to participants of the 62nd Regular Education Program at Seskoad.
At the time, Prabowo cited the teachings of ancient Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu, saying military commanders and leaders should possess wisdom, intelligence, sincerity, kindness, and firmness.
“A commander must have sincerity. Don’t just rely on maps or radios,” Prabowo said during the September 12, 2022 lecture at the Gatot Subroto Building in Bandung.
“A leader must remain calm in facing crises, avoid recklessness, be careful, mentally strong, and flexible in dealing with change,” he said.
