'Dire defending'

Kieran Gill at Stamford Bridge:

Dire defending from Chelsea, and now they're 20 Premier League games without a clean sheet. Ryan Giles' cross was hopeful, a bit of an 'ave it which should've been tied up easily. But Jorrel Hato just let the ball bounce in front of him and over him. That left Mohamed Belloumi to blast in beyond Emiliano Martinez. It's 1-1. Chelsea cannot avoid conceding.

Goal:Chelsea 1-1 Hull (Belloumi 28')

OUT OF NOWHERE!

Oh, Chelsea... we have spoken about how poor they are defensively, and that goal sums up the start of their season.

They had been dominating Hull, but a horrific bit of defending sees Mohamed Belloumi level for the Tigers out of the blue.

Game on.

'Sloppy from the Reds'

James Sharpe at Anfield:

Just so, so sloppy from Liverpool. Wirtz tries to slip in Munoz down the right but clunks it straight to a Fulham man, then the usually rock-steady Szoboszlai passes the ball out of play from a few yards.

CLOSE! Liverpool 0-0 Fulham

Phoarrr!

Liverpool seem to have taken my comments personally, because boy, have they improved.

Florian Wirtz is slid in... but you know the rest; he doesn't find the target. Just past the post, as always seems to be the way with Wirtz.

Goal:Crystal Palace 1-1 Ipswich (Emersonn 23')

IPSWICH ARE LEVEL!

That is one hell of a finish from Emersonn to drag the Tractor Boys level, and the cross from Leif Davis is even better.

That is the perfect response from the promoted side in south London.

OFF THE BAR! Liverpool 0-0 Fulham

That's better!

Of course, when I start having a dig at Liverpool, they decide to start playing football properly.

Dominik Szoboszlai finds Victor Munoz from a corner, and the Spaniard cannons the ball off the bar.

Great chance.

'Chelsea need more goals'

Kieran Gill at Stamford Bridge:

Chelsea lead 1-0, and they deserve it, but they haven't kept a clean sheet in the league since January 17. You always feel they need to get a two or three-goal lead before you can start thinking they're won it.

Liverpool 0-0 Fulham

What happened to the Liverpool of Wednesday?

This looks a completely different side to the team that beat Atletico Madrid; the Reds just haven't woken up yet.

So sluggish, so slow... it feels like I am watching the Arne Slot second-season slump again.

Anfield isn't enjoying this.

'A great strike'

Bobby Manzi at Selhurst Park:

Ipswich’s wait for a Premier League clean sheet extends to 23 matches. Anan Khalaili helped by a slight deflection off Leif Davies for his first Crystal Palace goal but it was a great strike from the right regardless.

Chelsea 1-0 Hull

Chelsea are chilling.

The Blues have their early lead and are now just utterly dominating Hull at Stamford Bridge.

They aren't creating chances, but it doesn't feel like they need to right now.

CHANCE! Bournemouth 0-0 Brentford

Oh dear, oh dear...

Evanilson really doesn't look the saem player these days, and that miss shows it.

He somehow skies his effort from just yards away in the area, he simply has to score there.

Goal:Crystal Palace 1-0 Ipswich (Khalaili 14')

What a lovely goal!

That is how you truly announce yourself to your new fans, what a strike that is from Anan Khalaili.

The right back looks like prime Daniel Munoz as he takes the ball down the right and rifles the ball across the goalkeeper and into the bottom corner.

Class.
