UFC great hurls racial slurs at officers and turns on his fans in new footage from public intoxication arrest

New footage of UFC great Dustin Poirier's disturbing June arrest at an Atlanta airport has been released showing the agitated former champion challenging officers to a fight, criticizing his fans and directing racial slurs at Black officers.

'Arrest me!' the belligerent Poirier is heard telling officers in the newly released police footage. 'Bring me to the penitentiary because this is bulls***! Hoe-a** n******!'

Poirier has since admitted to battling alcohol issues in retirement, culminating on June 21, when he was removed from a flight and arrested for public intoxication. Previously released footage from Atlanta police showed Poirier threatening to fight officers, which is something he apparently continued after his booking, as seen in the latest clips.

'Listen, let's rock one,' he told one officer while handcuffed. 'Y'all free me, and we go one-on-one. Let's go. Let's go, one-on-one. Me and you. Let's go. Let's see what happens.'

Police did not take him up on that offer, but one frustrated officer could be heard venting about Poirier to a co-worker. 

'He already got one cauliflower ear and I'm about to rip that b**** off and put it in his pocket,' the officer is heard telling a colleague as he books Poirier.

But for all the cops' bravado, nobody could match the eruption of anger and vitriol coming from Poirier.

'Man, f*** y'all! Stop f***ing around! Unlock this s*** so I can f*** y'all up!' he continued.

Again, officers took a pass on fighting the two-division former UFC champion.

Asked about the reactions his fans might have to his arrest, Poirier lashed out further.

'You know people are going to see this, right?' one officer asked Poirier.

'Man, f*** them, too!' Poirier snapped back.

'You gonna say that about your fans, man?' another officer interjected.

Poirier then fired back: 'F*** the fans! F*ck you guys!'

'You can't do that,' the officer said in response. 'They pay money for you!'

Poirier also pleaded with officers to let him go because he has 'kids, bro!'

Two days after the arrest, Poirier issued a statement online in which he said he was seeking help.

'Im at the point where I need some help, walking away from fighting hasn't been easy on me and alcohol isn't the answer,' Poirier wrote on Instagram. 'It has ruined my father's life and I will not allow it to ruin mine, my family deserve me at 100%. I'm trying to do everything I can to get my mind right and take the right next steps.'

Poirier is widely regarded as one of the finest fighters of his generation.

He retired last year following his final fight at UFC 318. Shortly after, Poirier was asked about how he was coping since retiring from the fight game.

'Thanks for asking. I'm trying to navigate it bro. I'm good. Some days I'm great, some days I'm not so good. It's up and down honestly,' he told Full Send MMA.

'If I'm not working towards something or trying to better my family, I'm a danger to myself.'
