TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - WhatsApp Web makes it easy for users to access messages via a computer, but the synchronization process with the mobile application often encounters obstacles. Without a stable connection and proper device settings, synchronization can be disrupted, causing delayed or failed message delivery.
As quoted from the Time Lines, to ensure smooth synchronization of messages in WhatsApp with WhatsApp Web, take note of the following important things:
1. Ensure the Mobile Device is in Standby Mode and Connected to the Internet
The first step to ensure is that the device used to access WhatsApp is on, has sufficient battery power, and is connected to a stable internet network, either through a WiFi connection or cellular data.
Because the operation of WhatsApp Web depends heavily on the presence of an active mobile phone, the main device must remain online to ensure that messages can be synchronized perfectly. If the phone is turned off or loses internet signal, the entire communication flow through WhatsApp Web will be interrupted.
2. Adjust Battery Settings and Background Application Activities
One common cause of synchronization disruptions that often goes unnoticed is power settings on the device, especially when the operating system automatically limits background application activities to save battery. If this setting is not adjusted, WhatsApp will not be able to function optimally when not directly opened by the user.
For Android devices with operating system version nine or newer, users are advised to disable battery optimization specifically for the WhatsApp application. Meanwhile, for iPhone users, attention should be given to the settings of the WhatsApp application itself. Ensure that the "Background App Refresh" feature and access to cellular data are enabled so that the application can continue to synchronize even when not in use.
The iPhone has a power-saving feature known as Low Power Mode. When this feature is active, the battery icon will turn yellow, indicating that background activities of almost all applications will be limited. To ensure smooth synchronization of WhatsApp, this feature should be disabled through the battery settings menu.
3. Avoid Access by Other Users in the Same Workspace
It is important to ensure that no two people in the same workspace are trying to access the same WhatsApp account at the same time. This condition can cause messages to be stuck in the delivery status and fail to be delivered.
To avoid this, each WhatsApp account should only be connected by one user. If the account needs to be transferred to another user, the active session must first be closed through the WhatsApp application on the phone.
