Angkasa Pura Books Rp10.2tn Revenue in H1 2026

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned airport operator Angkasa Pura Indonesia, or InJourney Airports, posted Rp10.23 trillion in revenue during the first half of 2026, up 3 percent year-on-year.

"Thanks to the transformation carried out under Danantara, InJourney Airports managed to maintain revenue growth amid global challenges, bolstered particularly by the increase in non-aeronautical businesses," said InJourney Airports President Director Mohammad Rizal Pahlevi, as quoted by Antara on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

Pahlevi stated that Danantara continues to steer InJourney Airports toward transforming and building a robust portfolio across both aeronautical and non-aeronautical business lines. The goal is to generate sustainable value within the national aviation industry while delivering benefits to the public.

The primary driver of InJourney Airports' revenue growth stems from successful restructuring at major airports. This includes optimizing tenant mix in commercial areas by combining various brands to deliver an improved shopping experience.

Addressing challenges in the aeronautical sector, Pahlevi explained that Angkasa Pura collaborates with regulators and stakeholders to expand international flight routes. "This also supports tourism growth in line with InJourney Group's vision and mission," Pahlevi said.

Strategic initiatives include supporting the Ministry of Transportation at the ASEAN-China Working Group on Regional Air Service Arrangements meeting in Yogyakarta on July 7–9, 2026. The company also participated in Routes Asia in Xi'an on April 14–16, 2026, targeting foreign carriers, particularly from Asian markets, notably China and ASEAN, to open additional routes to Indonesia.

Furthermore, Pahlevi noted that key transformation efforts focus on strengthening non-aeronautical operations through commercial area and facility upgrades at Tangerang's Soekarno-Hatta Airport and Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport since last year.

At Soekarno-Hatta's Terminal 3, commercial zones were redesigned to enhance the shopping experience for travelers. Meanwhile, Terminal 1C introduced an open-concept shopping arcade accessible to both passengers and the public, backed by a decentralized security screening system that allows access before entering restricted departure gate areas.

At I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, the commercial space features a single-flow layout hosting prominent global brands across duty-free shops, food and beverage outlets, and lounges.

The airport also upgraded access routes and streamlined departure procedures by adding security checkpoints. "This renewal gives passengers more time to enjoy their stay at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport," he explained.

Meanwhile, Sultan Hasanuddin Airport in Makassar opened a new terminal equipped with modern commercial spaces in November 2025. The new facility expanded the airport's capacity to 15.5 million passengers annually, up significantly from its previous capacity of roughly 7 million.

"At present, non-aeronautical business contributes about 38 percent of total revenue, up from 30 percent prior to the transformation carried out under Angkasa Pura I and Angkasa Pura II," Pahlevi said.
