TEMPO.CO, JakartaApple now has 2.35 billion active users worldwide, up 150 million from the previous year. Quoted from the GSM Arena report at the end of last month, this figure makes it the largest number of users the company has ever achieved.

Apple CEO Tim Cook called this quarter the best in the company's history, with revenue reaching US$124.3 billion, up 4 percent compared to last year. "We are excited to bring our best range of products and services to customers during the holiday season," said Cook, quoted from Android Headlines, Tuesday, February 4, 2025.

Cook also highlighted the role of Apple Intelligence supported by Apple Silicon in improving the user experience. "Through the power of Apple silicon, we open up new possibilities for users with Apple Intelligence, which makes applications and experiences even better and more personal. And we are excited because Apple Intelligence will be available in more languages this April," he said.

However, although Apple Intelligence is claimed to be the main factor in this success, sales data shows a different trend. iPhone sales fell 1 percent year-on-year, indicating that Apple’s latest AI technology isn’t necessarily driving a surge in hardware sales.

Apple doesn’t break down user numbers by device, so it’s unclear exactly how many of its 2.35 billion active users are on iPhones, Macs, or iPads. Apple last shared its active user numbers in early 2022, when it reported 1.8 billion.
