TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Head of the Indonesian National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Sudaryono, has pledged to prioritize collaboration and openness to various inputs from the public and stakeholders. Sudaryono made this statement after being inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto as the head of BGN, replacing Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, yesterday.
Sudaryono stated that the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) project, which is the responsibility of BGN, cannot be accomplished by one person alone but requires the involvement of various parties.
He said, "We are not Superman. It is certainly impossible for me to solve this issue or program on my own. Together with the entire team, both active and all stakeholders, we want to listen more and receive more input from all parties," Sudaryono said at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, July 22, 2026, quoted from the press release of the Government Communication Bureau (Bakom) of the Republic of Indonesia.
He emphasized that the National Nutrition Agency under his leadership is open to the public to convey criticisms, suggestions, and ideas that can strengthen the implementation of nutrition programs. Every input, he said, will be used as an evaluation in the decision-making process.
"If there are strange things found, new ideas, we are ready to accept input and make them a consideration in making decisions," he said.
This former Deputy Minister of Agriculture affirmed his commitment to carry out his duties as the Head of BGN professionally. "Believe me, at this moment, I am committed to working to the best of my ability and with the utmost integrity," Sudaryono said.
Yesterday, President Prabowo officially inaugurated Sudaryono as the Head of BGN, replacing Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, who had been in office for 45 days at the institution responsible for the MBG project.
Sudaryono's inauguration took place at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. His appointment is based on Presidential Decree Number 78/P Year 2026 regarding the Dismissal and Appointment of the Head of BGN.
