TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - BLACKPINK member Jennie is preparing for her solo return with a new digital EP, Fallen Angel, scheduled for release on August 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. KST.
As reported by Chosun, her management agency OA (ODDATELIER) unveiled the album’s cover art and official trailer video on Friday, August 21. The promotional imagery depicts Jennie in a white dress against a floral backdrop in a fairy-tale style. Meanwhile, the trailer offers a brief snippet of the upcoming title track.
The three-track mini-album features the title song "FALLEN ANGEL," alongside "HEAVEN" and the pre-released single "Less than a Lover." In an official statement cited by Soompi, OA described the record as an intimate release for the artist.
"This album was born from a very personal place, expressing Jennie's purest self," the agency said, calling the project a personal gift to her fans.
The project’s advance track, "Less Than a Lover," has already built strong commercial momentum. According to Detik, the single climbed to No. 49 on South Korea’s Melon Top 100 chart on Friday afternoon. The track joins her earlier solo efforts, including "Mantra" and "Like JENNIE," which have maintained steady chart positions following her previous album, Ruby.
The upcoming EP follows a series of international festival appearances for the 30-year-old singer. Jennie recently performed at Summer Sonic 2026 and made history on August 1 at Lollapalooza Chicago, where she became the first K-pop solo artist to headline the major American music festival during an hour-long closing set at Grant Park.
