TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued a weather forecast predicting potential light rain across the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Greater Jakarta or Jabodetabek) regions today, Friday, February 28, 2025. This prediction was shared on the agency's official website and Instagram account.
Specifically, South Jakarta, East Jakarta, and North Jakarta are expected to experience light rain from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM Western Indonesian Time (WIB). West Jakarta is forecasted to have light rain from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, while Central Jakarta may see rain starting at 4:00 PM, and the Thousand Islands at 10:00 PM.
The temperature in the capital is expected to fluctuate between 24 and 29 degrees Celsius, with wind speeds ranging from 1 to 13 kilometers per hour.
In West Java, particularly in Bogor Regency and Bekasi Regency, light rain accompanied by possible thunderstorms is predicted from 1:00 PM until midnight. Simultaneously, Bogor City is expected to experience light to moderate rain.
The cities of Depok and Bekasi are also forecasted to have light rain from 1:00 PM WIB until midnight.
The temperature in these West Java areas is predicted to range from 19 to 30 degrees Celsius, with wind speeds between 5 and 9 kilometers per hour.
In Banten, including Tangerang Regency, Tangerang City, and South Tangerang City, light rain is anticipated. The temperature is predicted to range from 23 to 30 degrees Celsius, with air humidity levels between 74 and 98 percent.
