TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of the Presidential Communication Office, Hasan Nasbi, said that religious community organizations (ormas) are involved as advisors in the Advisory Board and management of the Investment Management Agency of Nusantara (BPI Danantara).
Hasan has not mentioned which organization will become advisor. He asked the media to wait. Prabowo will announce the names of advisors and executive board members of Danantara today. "Just wait for the announcement," Hasan said at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, February 24, 2025.
In addition to religious community organizations, Prabowo will appoint former presidents as advisory councils. Hasan said that President Prabowo Subianto appointed former presidents to maintain the accountability and transparency of the agency. "We need people with high integrity, national figures, as part of the advisory board of this agency," he said.
Prabowo has officially signed Presidential Decree Number 30 of 2025 concerning the election of the Supervisory Board and the Executive Board of Indonesia Danantara Investment Board.
Prabowo also signed Law Number 1 of 2025 concerning the third amendment to Law Number 19 of 2003 concerning State-Owned Enterprises and Government Regulation Number 10 of 2025 concerning the Organization and Governance (BPI Danantara).
"Today, Monday, February 24, 2025, I, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, signed law number 1 of 2025," Prabowo said at the Presidential Palace in Central Jakarta on Monday, February 24, 2025, as monitored via the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube.
During the signing, Prabowo was accompanied by several figures, including the Minister of Investment and Industrial Estates, Rosan Roeslani, Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir, Pandu Patria Sjahrir, and Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Dony Oskaria.
Previously, President Prabowo Subianto invited all former Indonesian Presidents, such as the 5th President Megawati Sukarnoputri, the 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), and the 7th President Joko Widodo to participate in overseeing the Advisory Board and management of the Investment Management Agency of Nusantara (BPI Danantara).
"Danantara is the energy force of the future, and this must be upheld together. Therefore, I ask all former Presidents before me to join in overseeing this fund," Prabowo said in his speech at the 17th Anniversary of the Great Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) in Sentul, West Java, Saturday, February 15, 2025, as quoted from Antara.
In addition, the President also asked religious community organizations (ormas), such as Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), Muhammadiyah, and the Indonesian Communion of Churches (KWI) to participate in overseeing the management of the state's wealth fund at Danantara.
The Deputy of the Central Leadership Council for Election Victory of the Democratic Party, Kamhar Lakumani, said the 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) will accept President Prabowo Subianto's offer to oversee Danantara Investment Board.
