CANTIKA.COM, Jakarta - Zakat fitrah is one of the obligations that must be fulfilled by every Muslim as part of an effort to purify oneself in the month of Ramadan and approaching Eid al-Fitr. Zakat fitrah can be paid directly by providing staple foods or through online zakat payments.

The National Amil Zakat Agency or Baznas is a non-structural government agency tasked with receiving and distributing zakat and infaq from the givers to the recipients in need.
Based on the Decree of the Chairman of Baznas Number 10 of 2024 on the Value of Zakat Fitrah and Fidyah for the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi areas, the value of zakat fitrah is set at Rp 45,000 per person per day. Baznas will distribute zakat fitrah in the form of rice to the recipients according to their needs.
To facilitate the process, Baznas provides a safe and sharia-compliant online zakat fitrah payment service. As quoted from Baznas's website, the public can easily pay zakat fitrah through various channels, including online payments through Baznas.
Zakat fitrah must be paid from the beginning of Ramadan and at the latest before the implementation of Eid al-Fitr prayer. The distribution of zakat fitrah to the recipients must also be done at the latest before the implementation of Eid al-Fitr prayer.
Here's how to pay Zakat fitrah through Baznas online:
- Visit the webpage https://baznas.go.id/zakatfitrahbaznas
- Choose the type of fund
- Choose the type of zakat
- Choose the number of people
- Enter the amount
- Fill in the full name in the personal data column
- Enter the mobile phone number and email
- Click the check mark on the terms and conditions column
- Click "Select Payment"
- Zakat fitrah payments can be made through virtual bank accounts, digital wallets, minimarkets, as well as credit and debit cards
If done, click "Pay" to complete the zakat fitrah payment process.
