TEMPO.CO, Jakarta The Indonesian women's national team suffered a 0-2 defeat to Singapore in the opening match of the Garuda Championship Series in June 2026 at Arcamanik Stadium, Bandung, on Wednesday night, June 3, 2026. Garuda Pertiwi applied pressure from the beginning of the game, relying on the attacks built by Sheva Imut and her teammates.

However, as quoted from Antara, several opportunities created were not converted into goals. Instead, Singapore took the lead in the 10th minute through Danelle Tan. Her shot was not anticipated by the Indonesian goalkeeper, Alleana Ayu Arumy, changing the score to 1-0.

Trailing by one goal, Indonesia tried to respond by increasing the intensity of their attacks. Opportunities came through a header by Emily Julia Frederica Nahon, but the Singapore goalkeeper managed to secure it.

Indonesia had another golden opportunity in the 15th minute. Marsela Yuliana Awi managed to break into the penalty box and faced the opposing goalkeeper directly. However, that opportunity was not maximized into a goal.

Singapore nearly doubled their lead two minutes later through a header by Danelle Tan, which was still saved by Alleana Ayu. The visitors eventually extended their lead in the 20th minute through Nicole Lim Yanxiu. Taking advantage of a quick attack, Nicole unleashed a volley that the Indonesian goalkeeper couldn't stop, bringing Singapore ahead 2-0.

Indonesia continued to try to reduce the deficit. In the 23rd minute, Rosdilah Siti Nurrohma took a long-range shot, but the ball was still tipped over by the Singapore goalkeeper.
The score remained 2-0 in favor of Singapore until halftime.

Entering the second half, Indonesia appeared more dominant, controlling the flow of the game and creating several opportunities. However, Singapore's solid defense made it difficult for Garuda Pertiwi's attacks to produce results. Singapore posed a threat in the 78th minute through a long-range shot by Danelle Tan, but the ball soared above the crossbar.

Indonesia's best chance in the second half came in the 84th minute. Starting from a corner kick, Emily Julia welcomed the ball with a header, but the direction of the ball veered wide to the right of Singapore's goal.

As the match concluded, Indonesia failed to score and had to acknowledge Singapore's lead with a score of 0-2.
