TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - KAI Commuter recorded 323,455 passengers of Greater Jakarta (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi) Commuter Line on Monday, March 16, 2026. Vice President Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Karina Amanda, said the company recorded a 29 percent drop in passengers compared to the previous Monday.
"This is somewhat influenced by the Work From Anywhere (WFA) policy ahead of the Eid holiday," she said in a written statement on Monday, March 16, 2026.
According to the state-owned railway company KAI's data, the number of passengers boarding the Jabodetabek Commuter Line at Bogor Station was over 22,000, 18,385 at Citayam Station, 18,143 at Bekasi Station, 10,175 at Tangerang Station, and 10,282 at Sudimara Station. This is still deemed a "busy" traffic.

Karina said KAI Commuter operates 1,065 trips for the Jabodetabek Commuter Line and 70 trips for the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Commuter Line during the Eid holiday travel period.
Meanwhile, the Merak Commuter Line services only operate up to Cilegon Station from March 13 to 20, 2026. "Those heading to Krenceng Station and Merak Station will be provided with connecting transportation," said Karina.
KAI reported 162,393 passengers of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Commuter Line and 252,501 at the Merak Commuter Line throughout this year's Ramadan season.
In Jakarta, the average transit volume at Manggarai Station during Ramadan was 150,000 people, 136,000 at Tanah Abang Station, and an average of 80,000 people per day at Duri Station.
Meanwhile, at Rangkasbitung Station integrated with the Jabodetabek Commuter Line, 300,874 people alighted from the train. On the other hand, at Cikarang Station integrated with the Walahar Commuter Line to Purwakarta, 489,597 people alighted at the station.
