TEMPO.CO, Jakarta — PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. has prepared various strategies to optimize services during homecoming flow of Eid al-Fitr in 2025. The Corporate Communications and Community Development Group Head of Jasa Marga, Lisye Octaviana, has discussed with Google, the Indonesian National Police, the Traffic Corps, and several related Ministries regarding readiness to manage the homecoming flow.
One of the initiatives is improving technology-based information services. ''The technology we already have, such as the Travoy application for road users and our Intelligent Transport System (ITS) technology at the Common Center,'' said Lisye at Google Indonesia Office, Jakarta, on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
This technology enables data processing from the road, CCTV, field officers, and various monitoring systems to produce information that the public and authorities can use in traffic management.
''And in the future, we will process it together with the Police and the Ministry of Transportation to be a recommendation, including for traffic engineering plans that have already been issued in the joint decree,'' said Lisye.
Jasa Marga also predicts the peak of the homecoming flow to occur on March 20 for incoming vehicles, while the peak on toll roads is estimated to fall on March 28. ''We monitor it starting from H-10 until H-2 for incoming vehicles,'' she said. Meanwhile, the peak of arus balik traffic is predicted to occur on April 6, 2025.
Jasa Marga will provide a 20 percent toll discount for continuous travel from Jakarta-Cikampek to Semarang to avoid congestion. ''So, specifically for continuous travel that taps in at Cikampek Utama and taps out at Kalikangkung,'' she said.
Furthermore, Jasa Marga also increases traffic capacity by opening functional lanes, deploying additional officers at rest areas, regulating vehicle entry-exit flows, and providing additional motorcycle gas stations and modular rest areas.
In addition, Lisye claims that Jasa Marga continues to collaborate with Google throughout the year. Jasa Marga also has the JID (Jasa Marga Integrated Digitalmap Mobile) application to process vehicle data based on CCTV and traffic counting.
This collaboration enables Jasa Marga to leverage data from Google Maps in the Travoy and JID applications to provide more accurate information. ''So, this collaboration continues not only during the peak season of mudik (homecoming) or, for example, last Christmas and New Year.''
