TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has conducted another raid in West Java, this time targeting the Regional Development Bank of West Java and Banten (Bank BJB) office in Bandung. The operation is linked to an alleged corruption case involving the bank's advertising expenses.
KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto confirmed the raid, stating, "That's correct," in a brief message on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Meanwhile, KPK Deputy Chairman Fitroh Rohcahyanto acknowledged the raid took place in Bandung but did not specify the location. "Certainly, there was a raid in the city of Bandung," he said.
According to Tempo, an investigator involved in the case reported that the operation was still ongoing as of 14:26 WIB.
Earlier, on Monday, March 10, 2025, the KPK also searched the residence of former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil in Bandung, seizing several documents and unspecified items.
KPK Chairperson Setyo Budiyanto stated that investigators would thoroughly examine the confiscated materials to determine their relevance to the alleged corruption case at Bank BJB.
"Everything needs to be carefully studied and observed; it’s not an immediate process," he explained. If the seized items are found unrelated to the case, they will be returned.
Setyo also emphasized that summoning Ridwan Kamil for questioning remains at the discretion of investigators. If his statement is required, he will be interrogated.
Ridwan Kamil confirmed the raid on his home, stating that KPK investigators presented an official assignment letter related to the Bank BJB case. "It is true that the KPK team visited us regarding the case at BJB," he said in a written statement.
He expressed his willingness to cooperate fully, supporting the KPK’s investigation. "As law-abiding citizens, we are highly cooperative and fully support the KPK team in carrying out their work professionally," he added.
