GOOTO.COM, Jakarta - Marc Marquez has once again achieved a positive result in the Sprint Race session of the 2025 MotoGP Argentina in the early hours of Sunday (Western Indonesian Time), March 16, 2025. He emerged as the champion at the Termas De Rio Hondo Circuit with a total time of 19 minutes 37.331 seconds.
Marquez was 0.903 seconds faster than his closest rival, Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing), who finished in second place. Meanwhile, with the third-place rider, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team), Marc Marquez was ahead by 3.859 seconds.
This result makes Marc Marquez sweep the victory in the Sprint Race since the beginning of the season. The Spanish rider had previously also successfully won the Sprint Race at the Buriram Circuit, Thailand.
Marquez's victory was already anticipated, considering he had secured pole position after being the fastest in the qualifying session of the 2025 MotoGP Argentina. With that, it is not impossible for him to clinch another victory in the night race later.
"I had already anticipated a race like this today. I knew Alex (Marquez) was very competitive and he pushed me to the maximum until the end. In the final laps, with fading grip, I pushed a little harder because I saw that my condition was good," he said.
"A good start will be crucial, and we need to manage tire wear, especially in the left turns where there are more bumps," added Marc Marquez, as quoted from the official Ducati website.
Marc Marquez's teammate at Ducati, Bagnaia, finally managed to achieve a podium finish in the 2025 MotoGP Argentina Sprint Race. He moved up one position from his starting position after overtaking Johann Zarco (Castrol Honda LCR).
Johann Zarco actually had a great opportunity to secure the first podium for the Honda satellite team. However, at the start of the race, his performance declined. Starting from third position, he dropped to 6th place in the first lap of the 2025 MotoGP Argentina Sprint Race.
Fortunately, he managed to regain a position within the top five at the end of the session and finished the 2025 MotoGP Argentina Sprint Race in 4th place. However, Johann Zarco's performance was considered positive, as he was able to bring Honda into competition at the front line.
