TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The panel of judges at Military Court II-08 Jakarta has imposed an additional punishment in the form of dismissal from military service on two out of four members of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Strategic Intelligence Agency (Bais TNI) who were proven to be involved in the acid attack on activist Andrie Yunus.

“The defendants have been proven beyond reasonable doubt to be guilty of committing a criminal act as charged, namely being complicit in premeditated assault resulting in serious injury,” said Colonel Chk Fredy Ferdian, the head of the panel of judges, while reading out the verdict at Military Court II-08 Jakarta on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

The panel of judges has sentenced the first defendant, Sergeant Edi Sudarko, to three years in prison. The judge also ordered a reduction in the prison term while Edi is in detention. In addition to the principal sentence, the panel of judges imposed an additional punishment of dismissal from military service on Edi.

The panel of judges also sentenced the second defendant, First Lieutenant Budhi Hariyanto Widhi, to two years and six months in prison. “Additional punishment: dismissal from military service,” the judge said.

As for the third defendant, Captain Nandala Dwi Prasetyo, he received a two-year prison sentence. Meanwhile, the fourth defendant, First Lieutenant Sami Lakka, was sentenced to one year and six months in prison. Unlike with Edi and Budhi, the panel of judges did not impose an additional punishment of dismissal from military service on Nandala and Sami.

The panel of judges declared that all four defendants were proven to have violated Article 467 paragraph (1) in conjunction with paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code Law in conjunction with Article 20 letter c of the Criminal Code as charged in the alternative indictment.
