Golf influencer Paige Spiranac has shared a surprising benefit to wearing less clothing on the course, after playing like 's***' during a recent outing.

The former LPGA hopeful has racked up four million followers on Instagram as she's become known for her revealing outfits.

But she was more conservatively dressed during a recent trip the course, as she wore a buttoned-up polo shirt and shorts.

And after she performed below her best in the outfit, she offered some advice to her fans.

'If you’ve been following me for awhile you know I have this working theory that I play better when I wear less clothes,' she wrote on X above a photo of her in the polo.

'Can confirm that science is right once again. I played like [poop emoji] today.'

The post drew plenty of humorous replies from Spiranac's fans as they teased the blonde social media star.

'Sorry to hear that,' one wrote on X.

'If this is true then I have an idea,' another said.

And a third said: 'I didn't even recognize it was you. lolol.'

The lighthearted post comes after Spiranac announced some big news in May.

The golf influencer, who failed to make it on the LPGA Tour, told fans that she'd be taking her golf knowledge to the Grass League - the first high-stakes par 3 golf league - where she will look to translate her social media success to the front office.

While Spiranac didn't confirm the exact title of her new position, the Grass League announced that 'golf’s most influential female voice' would be joining in a 'strategic leadership role.'

Spiranac recently announced that she is starting a new role with the Grass League

'A trailblazer in both professional golf and modern sports media, Spiranac will work closely with league leadership to shape the long-term vision and growth strategy for The Grass League,' a press release read.

'Her role will encompass brand development, storytelling, creative, business development and overall content and audience strategy, positioning the league to scale it’s reach across digital, broadcast, and live experiences.'

Spiranac's appointment came shortly after the league's 2025 season kickstarted earlier in May with the circuit making its debut last year.
