TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Palestinian Embassy in Jakarta distributed humanitarian aid to the earthquake-affected communities in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) as a manifestation of concern, solidarity, and humanitarian brotherhood between Palestine and Indonesia.
In a statement on Friday, Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia Abdalfatah A.K. Alsattari said that when communities face difficulties and disasters, it is a shared responsibility to support one another and extend a helping hand.
As quoted by ANTARA, he said the solidarity between Palestine and Indonesia is rooted in shared humanitarian values, emphasizing that Palestine stands firmly with the people of NTT and all Indonesians. He added that human solidarity knows no national borders or differences.
He said that this humanitarian initiative is an expression of the Palestinian people's sincere solidarity with the Indonesian people, especially those in NTT who are facing difficulties due to the earthquake.
It is hoped that this humanitarian aid will support the needs of the earthquake-affected community and convey a message of concern and brotherhood from the Palestinian people to the people of NTT.
The Palestinian Embassy also expressed its appreciation to all parties who have contributed to humanitarian efforts and to the Indonesian people for their friendship, solidarity, and continued support for the Palestinian people.
Through this humanitarian action, Palestine reaffirms its commitment to strengthening friendly relations and humanitarian cooperation with Indonesia and the importance of mutual assistance in dealing with crises and disasters.
