TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Singapore-based airline Calypte Holding Pte Ltd through its subsidiary, PT Indonesia Airlines Group (INA), officially obtained its flight permit last Friday, March 7, 2025. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of INA and Executive Chair of Calypte Holding, Iskandar, said that INA is the first commercial airline in Indonesia that will only operate international flights.
"Based on business planning and feasibility studies that have been prepared, Indonesia Airlines will only focus on international flights," said Iskandar in his statement quoted from LinkedIn Indonesia Airlines on Sunday, March 9, 2025. So, what is the profile of Indonesia Airlines?

Calypte Holding is a renewable energy and agriculture development company. After signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the construction of a 1,000 MW Solar Power Plant (PLTS) and a 500 MW Gas Power Plant (CCGT) worth Rp 19 trillion on Bengkalis Island, Pekanbaru, Riau on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, the company has now ventured into the aviation sector.
According to its official website, Calypte Holding is headquartered at 1 Paya Lebar Link, Paya Lebar Quarter 1 04-01 Singapore. Meanwhile in Indonesia, its office is located at Prosperity Tower 8th Floor, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman Kav 52-53 District 8 SCBD, South Jakarta, with the official email address [email protected] is not much information available about Calypte Holding and Indonesia Airlines. On the main page of its official website calypteholding.com, the statement "Coming soon" is the only information provided.
Regarding the top executives at Indonesia Airlines, Iskandar said that the position of the operational director will be filled by staff from Singapore Airlines with over 40 years of experience, who was one of the first pilots in the world to fly the Airbus A380. Furthermore, the commercial director will be held by an experienced figure who has worked for more than 21 years in various major airlines such as Emirates and Asiana Airlines.
Also, Iskandar mentioned that they will recruit a cabin crew manager from British Airways who is also part of the European Cabin Crew Corporate Committee (EBAA) and a deputy cabin crew manager from Emirates. This is done to provide the best service in line with the company's vision and mission.

According to his personal LinkedIn account, CEO of PT Indonesia Airlines Group and Executive Chair of Calypte Holding, Iskandar, has a long work history. He started his career as the Manager of the Program Integration and Supervision Center, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Agency for Aceh and Nias (BRR NAD-Nias) from July 2006 to 2008.
Furthermore, Iskandar also served as the Head Executor at BRR NAD-Nias, Ministry of Finance from July 2009 to December 2010, Funding Sales Officer at PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk in Banda Aceh from July 2012 to May 2013, Branch Manager at Bank Danamon Indonesia in Banda Aceh from June 2013 to April 2014, and Manager at PermataBank Jakarta from May 2014 to August 2014.
Iskandar also held positions as Associate Vice President at Sequis Life from March 2015 to September 2016, Executive Director at Daiwatech Indonesia from August 2016 to February 2018, CEO at Sientratek Energi Indonesia from June 2019 to September 2024. An alumnus of Syiah Kuala University (USK) in 2009, he became the Executive Chair of Calypte Holding in October 2022 and the CEO of Indonesia Airlines since March 2025.
