Survey: Indonesians Optimistic About Prabowo's Anti-Corruption Agenda

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – An Adidaya Institute survey shows that the Indonesian public is optimistic about the anti-corruption agenda committed to by the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

The survey results recorded that 68.8 percent of respondents believe the Prabowo-Gibran regime is working well and optimally in eradicating corruption. Simultaneously, around 62.5 percent of respondents also believe that law enforcement under Prabowo's leadership has been fair.

"The public strongly believes that the Prabowo-Gibran administration has a strong commitment to eradicating corruption," said Ahmad Fadhli, Director of Politics and Public Policy at the Adidaya Institute, in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.

He continued, adding that the recent case, in which the head and two deputy heads of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) were removed and arrested by the Attorney General's Office, is a sign that President Prabowo is taking a hard line in eradicating corruption.

Therefore, based on the same survey results, Fadhli stated that the public is not particularly demanding a cabinet reshuffle anytime soon.

Only 48.1 percent of respondents agreed that a reshuffle should be carried out now, while 32.1 percent opposed another reshuffle by President Prabowo.

"This may be a public signal that the cabinet will work even more optimally. The public is giving the President's chosen ministers the opportunity to demonstrate more optimal performance," he said.

The Adidaya Indonesia survey also showed strong public support for the Prabowo-Gibran administration's flagship programs, such as Free Nutritious Meals (MBG), the Red and White Village and Sub-district Cooperatives (KDKMP), and Free Health Checks (CKG). Based on the survey, an average of more than 70 percent of respondents supported these three flagship programs.

Regarding the MBG program, he stated that 71.5 percent of respondents supported it. Furthermore, around 75.6 percent of respondents supported the KDKMP, and 93.3 percent expressed support for the CKG program.

However, he said respondents still highlighted governance as the most important issue. Therefore, Fadhli believes there is a very simple message: the Prabowo-Gibran administration's flagship programs must continue.

Overall, the survey showed that the majority of the public is satisfied with the performance of Prabowo and Gibran, with 68.2 percent of respondents satisfied with the President's performance, while 27.1 percent expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of the two leaders.

"Amidst the threat of war and an increasingly uncertain global economic situation, these satisfaction figures are quite encouraging. We must be honest," said Fadhli.

The Adidaya Institute survey was conducted face-to-face from May 1-8, 2026, involving 1,240 respondents. The survey was conducted with all respondents spread across 38 provinces and took approximately 15 minutes.

The survey again used a probability sampling method with a margin of error of 2.78 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.

Adidaya Institute uses very strict quality control for respondents by sending photos and providing location delivery with Google Maps.
