TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Two days after former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes Febrie Adriansyah was named a corruption suspect, the Forest Area Enforcement Task Force (Satgas PKH) held an evaluation meeting. Convened at the Defense Ministry on Monday, July 13, 2026, the meeting focused on reviewing the task force's performance.
Within the task force, Febrie served as Executive Chair, while Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, the host of the meeting, chairs its steering committee. "We were strengthening the task force's operations," Satgas PKH spokesman Barita Simanjuntak told Tempo on Wednesday, July 15.
President Prabowo Subianto established the task force in January 2025 under Presidential Regulation No. 5/2025 on Forest Area Enforcement. The task force was mandated to audit and restore forest, mining, and plantation areas suspected of operating illegally to their original designated functions.
The task force became entangled in the corruption case involving Febrie after police reportedly planned to search a house on Jalan Hang Tuah Raya in South Jakarta on Friday, July 10, 2026. The house served as the Satgas PKH's command post.
