TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has drawn attention for inviting a number of domestic tycoons to the State Palace in Jakarta on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
This move by Prabowo recalls the actions of his former father-in-law, the 2nd President Soeharto in the New Order era. At that time, the late Soeharto had invited tycoons to a special meeting.
The meeting between Prabowo and several tycoons was revealed based on a post from the official Instagram account of the Cabinet Secretariat. To Lam's visit is in the context of a state visit that marks 70 years of relations between Indonesia and Vietnam. Secretary To Lam is scheduled to be in Indonesia for three days from March 9-11, 2025.
According to a statement from the Deputy of Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat, To Lam will be welcomed with a State Ceremony at the Presidential Palace, followed by a tte--tte meeting between the two leaders.
3. Orchestra Concert Commemorates 70 Years of Indonesia, Vietnam Diplomatic Relations
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Vietnamese embassy in Jakarta hosted an orchestra concert to celebrate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Vietnam. The Vietnam National Academy of Music supported the concert on Sunday evening, March 9, 2025, at Ciputra Artpreneur, Jakarta.
"We welcome all of you to the celebration of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Vietnam," said Vietnamese ambassador to Indonesia, Ta Van Thong, at the event opening.
The concert also welcomed To Lam's visit, the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, who arrived at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, on Sunday afternoon. To Lam is scheduled to make a state visit to Indonesia on March 9-11, 2025.
