TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The second season of Pokemon Horizons is set to air in April 225. As cited from IMDb, the second season titled The Search for Laqua has been scheduled to premiere on Netflix. This announcement brings joy to fans as the series first introduced new characters and fresh adventures following the retirement of Ash Ketchum and Pikachu in 2023.

1. New Adventures with Liko and Roy

Pokemon Horizons brings a new story with two characters, Liko and Roy, accompanied by Sprigatito and Fuecoco. The series depicts their journey exploring the world of Pokemon in a thrilling and mysterious adventure. The decision to introduce new protagonists stems from Ash's success as a world champion, which is seen as the right moment to start a new chapter for this franchise.

2. Isyana Sarasvati's Song

Citing Antara, Indonesian musician Isyana Sarasvati performs the theme song for this season, titled Makna Dunia. Isyana wrote and composed the track, which marks the first time an Indonesian song has been used as a Pokemon theme song.

Isyana expressed her gratitude, saying, "I feel very honored and worked on the track with love and passion." The song Makna Dunia, which translates to ‘Meaning of the World,’ is inspired by the inexhaustible spirit of adventure that is the essence of the journey of the Pokemon characters.

3. Collaboration between Pokemon and Indonesian Football

The influence of Pokemon is inescapable even in the world of Indonesian sports. The Pokemon Company has partnered with the Indonesian football association, PSSI, through PT Garuda Sepak Bola Indonesia. With this partnership, iconic characters like Pikachu and Cinderace will accompany the Indonesian national team’s journey to the 2026 World Cup.

Indonesian jersey-wearing Pikachu and exclusive merchandise are among the anticipated collaborations between the two entities. Activities such as Pokemon Day are also planned during the national U-23 team's friendly matches, including football learning programs with educational videos featuring national team players and Pokemon characters.

4. Batik Pokemon

Another anticipated project is the launch of Batik Pokemon, which introduces unique Indonesian designs to the global market. Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar said that Batik Pokemon not only provides economic value but also serves as a cultural exchange.

"Pikachu wearing batik is seen by millions of people around the world. This can also increase the interest of the younger generation to take pride in wearing batik," she said.
