TEMPO.CO, Jakarta The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) has temporarily halted the trading of PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk (ADHI) stock as of Monday, August 24, 2026.

The capital market authority made this decision because the state-owned construction company has postponed payment of bond interest due on August 24, 2026. Adhi Karya should have paid the 17th interest installment for the Continuous Bonds III Adhi Karya 2022 Series B and C during this period.

Head of the Operational Trading Regulation Division of IDX, Pande Made Kusuma, stated that the authority has temporarily halted the trading of Adhi Karya's securities across the market until further notice. "The postponement of the interest payment indicates issues regarding the company's business continuity," he said.

According to IDX’s stock transaction data, Adhi Karya's stock price is Rp133 per share. Since August 21, 2026, ADHI's stock has remained flat at that position. This position is significantly lower compared to the company's stock price in January 2026, which was in the range of 272 per share.

Regarding the temporary suspension of stock trading, Adhi Karya's corporate secretary, Siswanto, said the company understands the suspension is part of capital market regulations. ADHI acknowledged that it has not yet paid the bond interest worth Rp60.8 billion, which was due on August 24, 2026. "The company respects this decision and is committed to complying with all applicable capital market provisions," he stated.

Siswanto explained that the company held a General Meeting of Bondholders on August 6, 2026, to fulfill its obligations to the bondholders. At this meeting, the company proposed changes to the payment schedule for the 17th, 18th, and 19th interest payments. However, the company's proposal was not approved at the meeting because it failed to meet the forum's quota or quorum.

Given this condition, Siswanto stated that the company will coordinate with the trustee and bondholders to take other steps to resolve the issue, in accordance with the bond trusteeship agreement. The company has scheduled a General Meeting of Bondholders for September 11, 2026.

"The company will provide information regarding the progress of the obligation settlement and other material matters to the public in accordance with the provisions of the capital market laws and regulations," he added.

Siswanto explained that the company is currently undergoing a restructuring process to ensure business continuity. Adhi Karya is transforming to strengthen its core business and improve the company's fundamentals. This step is being taken through divestment programs, financial restructuring, efficiency improvements, and other financial recovery measures carried out in a measured manner.

The company hopes to strengthen its business foundation in order to enhance its competitiveness, improve its performance quality, and foster sustainable, long-term growth.

"The transformation carried out by Adhi Karya is not just a restructuring to face the current conditions, but is a strategic step to build a stronger foundation in anticipation of the company's recovery phase in the future," said Siswanto.
