TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) confirmed that there is no scheduled probing for former chief of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Nanik Sudaryati Deyang today, Wednesday, July 22, 2026. The confirmation came against the backdrop of Nanik's recent resignation, raising questions about her connection to alleged corruption in the free nutritious meal (MBG) program.
AGO spokesperson Anang Supriatna said investigators have yet to summon Nanik today. "There is no schedule for her summons for today," Anang told Tempo on Wednesday.
According to Anang, investigators are still focusing on probing other witnesses in the alleged misconduct in the free nutritious meal program governance, albeit he did not detail their identities.
Nevertheless, Anang emphasized that the investigators are still open to summoning the former Head of BGN if her statement is required for the purpose of evidence. "For now, there is no summons, but in the future, the investigators will certainly summon her if needed," said Anang.
Nanik S. Deyang announced her resignation through her personal Facebook account on Wednesday, July 22, citing health reasons.
According to her, President Prabowo Subianto had approved her resignation but still asked her to oversee the country's nutrition agency through the proposed BGN Supervisory Board.
Nanik stepped down amid the investigation into alleged corruption in the MBG program. Former Deputy Head of BGN, Sony Sonjaya, previously accused Nanik of being involved in the change of the name of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG), which was allegedly affiliated with her.
Sony's lawyer, Krisna Murti, said his client unveiled this during AGO questioning on June 18, 2026. Krisna claimed that the foundation managed the MBG kitchen in several locations, including Bogor and Madiun, and changed the name of the foundation without following applicable procedures.
Nanik denied these accusations. In Tempo Magazine report edition of June 7, 2026, Nanik challenged to prove the accusations by tracking the foundation's flow of funds.
Nanik also denied involvement in procurement of goods and services at BGN. In one of her YouTube podcasts, she stated that the procurement process that is now being questioned by the investigators started in June 2025, while she was only inaugurated as the Deputy Head of BGN on September 17, 2025. She also admitted that she never attended meetings discussing the procurement.
Nevertheless, the Attorney General's Office has not yet confirmed when the investigators will summon Nanik. The investigators only stated that they will request her statement if it is deemed necessary for the case.
