Horror films will dominate the March releases, with titles such as Desa Mati, Arwah Sinden, Pabrik Gula, and Singsot Siulan Kematian. Here is a list of the Indonesian films screening in March 2025, along with their synopses:

1. Desa Mati - March 6, 2026

Quoting from the Instagram account @desamati_themovie, this film tells the story of five students seeking adventure during a college break. They decide to visit a beautiful spring.

During their journey, they stumble upon a mysterious village. Since then, they are constantly terrorized and must find ways to survive and escape.

The film Desa Mati stars well-known Indonesian actors, including Samuel Rizal, Mastur, Kiesha Alvaro, Frislly Herlind, Adlia Fitri, Ehan Brenda, and Shakira Sheldrick.

2. Setan Botak di Jembatan Ancol - March 6, 2025

Directed by Anggy Umbara, this film tells the story of Nirmala, an indigo girl. Every year, her friends mysteriously vanish. Nirmala embarks on a quest to uncover the truth. The film stars Ozy Syahputra, Indah Permatasari, and Jameelah Saleem.

3. Jabang Mayit - March 6, 2025

As described on the 21 Cineplex page, the film Jabang Mayit tells the story of a woman named Hujan who suddenly loses her baby. In her search, she encounters Bayu.

5. Arwah Sinden - March 13, 2025

This film tells the story of four friends assigned to renovate a house.

While surveying the house, they are haunted by ghosts sent by the foreman who built the house, revealing a hidden secret.

6. Singsot: Siulan Kematian - March 13, 2025

This horror film centers on Ipung, who is warned not to whistle at dusk. Whistling at dusk, according to belief, can bring misfortune.

However, Ipung ignores this and continues to whistle at dusk. He then experiences nightmares of figures resembling people he knows. Ipung must choose between death and breaking the curse.

7. Bukan Jodoh Biasa Nih

This film tells the story of three friends studying in Bandung, living away from home. Like typical students, they face challenges, especially when their allowances are late.

They try various ways to survive, including borrowing money, leading to a comedic adventure. Bukan Jodoh Biasa Nih stars Raim Laode, Fico Fahriza, and Firman Wahab.

8. Pabrik Gula - Eid Release

Pabrik Gula is a highly anticipated horror film based on a story by the X Simpleman account. Quoting from the 21 Cineplex page, it follows seven friends working as seasonal laborers in a sugar factory. 

Strange events occur when Endah wakes up in the dorm and follows a mysterious figure, leading to terrors for the workers.

9. Norma: Antara Mertua dan Menantu - Eid Release

The film Norma is based on a true and viral story. It tells the story of Norma, who marries her first love, Irfan.

Their marriage is initially fine until Norma discovers Irfan's affair with his own mother.

This film stars Tissa Biani, Yusuf Mahardika, Wulan Guritno, Rukman Rosadi, Nunung, Erick Estrada, Devi Permatasari, and Adila Fitri.

10. Komang

Komang is a film adapted from the love story of Raim Laode and his wife, Ade. It depicts Ode, a youth from Button, meeting Ade, an expatriate from Bali.

They fall in love, but their relationship faces obstacles, including religious differences.

Ode must also leave Ade to pursue his dreams in Jakarta. Will they be able to stay together?

11. Jumbo

Jumbo is an animated film created by Indonesian filmmakers. It tells the story of Don, a boy with a large physique. He is often teased by his friends and wants to prove his worth beyond his physical appearance.

The film features voice acting from Ariel NOAH, Cinta Laura, Angga Yunanda, and Bunga Citra Lestari.

12. Qodrat 2

Qodrat 2 continues the story of Qodrat's search for his wife, Azizah. Azizah is suffering from depression after selling herself to Assuala to save Alif.

After leaving a mental hospital, Azizah works at a factory and experiences bullying and mysterious deaths. Qodrat tries to save Azizah.
