TEMPO.CO, Cirebon - The traffic volume on the Cikopo-Palimanan toll road (Cipali Toll Road) heading to Central Java on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, saw a surge of 15.3 percent compared to the previous day, but remained smooth.
Ardam Rafif Trisilo, the Sustainability Management and Corporate Communications Department head of Astra Tol Cipali, stated that until 6:00 PM local time, there were about 26.2 thousand vehicles crossing Cikopo heading to Cirebon.
"Overall, the traffic volume increased by 15.3 percent compared to the same time yesterday," said Ardam on Tuesday. Meanwhile, from the opposite direction, there were about 16.6 thousand vehicles crossing Cikopo heading to Jakarta.
Although the traffic is yet to soar, the volume is expected to increase compared to the previous day. "Today's traffic volume is predicted to increase compared to the previous day's realization on Monday, March 24, 2025, with 68 thousand vehicles crossing the Cipali Toll Road," he said.
Furthermore, Ardam divulged that the Eid homecoming travel is expected to peak on Friday, March 28, 2025, or three days before Eid al-Fitr, with the traffic volume predicted to reach around 118 thousand vehicles.
Astra Tol Cipali urged road users to ensure the condition of their vehicle and their physical well-being before traveling. Besides the vehicle, Astra Tol Cipali also asked road users to ensure that their electronic money card balance is sufficient before embarking on their homecoming trip.
