TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued a warning to residents in Jakarta and its neighboring regions about the potential for rain, accompanied by lightning and strong winds, on Wednesday night, September 24, 2025.
According to the BMKG's 24-hour forecast, clear weather is anticipated in most of Jakarta and the surrounding areas from 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Subsequently, by 1:00 p.m., the sky is expected to become heavily overcast, with a chance of light rain developing around midday in certain parts of Bogor Regency.
Light rain is then predicted to fall until 7:00 p.m. in areas of South Jakarta, East Jakarta, South Tangerang City, and Tangerang Regency.
Later on Wednesday night, the potential for heavier rain, accompanied by strong winds, is forecast for parts of Depok City, Bogor City, and Bogor Regency.
Temperatures in the Greater Jakarta area today are expected to range from 24 to 32 degrees Celsius, while the temperature in Bogor City and Bogor Regency will be slightly cooler, ranging from 20 to 32 degrees Celsius.
