The forecast was shared by the Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) through its official Instagram account. Rain is expected to fall between 04:00 PM and 07:00 PM, with the potential for lightning and strong winds.
“There remains the potential for moderate to heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds,” BPBD Jakarta wrote on Thursday.
According to the forecast, rainfall is expected across all five municipalities of Jakarta—Central, West, South, North, and East Jakarta. The Thousand Islands (Kepulauan Seribu), however, are not expected to be affected by the rain.
