According to the forecast of the West Java BMKG Climatology Station, the areas with medium rain include parts of Bogor Regency, Sukabumi Regency and City, and Cianjur. This forecast is also for the Greater Bandung area which includes Bandung City and Regency, Cimahi City, and West Bandung Regency.

The area includes the city of Bogor and its surroundings, part of Purwakarta, South Subang, Sumedang, Majalengka, part of Kuningan and Ciamis, Tasikmalaya City, to Garut.

Referring to the BMKG review, there are several factors that influence the increase in the supply of water vapor mass that triggers convective clouds in West Java.
