TEMPO.COJakarta - The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has urged the residents of Jakarta and the surrounding areas to be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning this Tuesday afternoon, 23 December 2025. With air humidity ranging from 72-90 percent, the weather today is likely to be rainy.

Based on BMKG's 24-hour weather forecast, cloudy weather is expected to start in most parts of Jakarta and its surroundings, precisely from 01:00 to 07:00 WIB (Western Indonesian Time). There is only a potential for light rain in some areas of the Thousand Islands, North Jakarta, Bekasi Regency, and Tangerang Regency.

Then, until 13:00 WIB, partly cloudy weather will gradually become overcast with the potential for light rain in some areas of Tangerang Regency, South Tangerang City, Bogor City and Regency, and Depok City.

From the afternoon until the evening, light to moderate rain is forecasted to pour in some parts of South Jakarta, East Jakarta, Tangerang Regency, South Tangerang City, Depok City, Bogor City and Regency, as well as Bekasi City and Regency.

Meanwhile, the potential for rain accompanied by strong winds will occur in some parts of South Jakarta, East Jakarta, Tangerang Regency, South Tangerang City, up to Bogor City and Regency.

The air temperature in the Jabodetabek (Greater Jakarta) area today ranges from 24-32 degrees Celsius, while the temperature in Bogor City and Regency is lower, ranging from 18-30 degrees Celsius.
