TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto stated that Civil Servants (PNS) will receive Eid Allowance (THR) this year. The disbursement will be made in March 2025.
"The disbursement of THR for civil servants and workers in private sectors will be in March 2025," said Prabowo at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, on Monday, February 17, 2025.
The president emphasized that the THR disbursement policy is aimed at boosting economic growth in the first quarter of 2025. Alongside THR, the free nutritious meal (MBG) program is also seen as a key contributor to economic growth.
"There are several policies that drive competitiveness for economic transformation. One of them is the MBG program," said Prabowo.
Prabowo stated that the MBG is expected to drive economic growth in all regions of Indonesia. He claimed that the program generates money circulation in the villages.
Meanwhile, the distribution of social assistance (bansos) is also considered to drive economic growth. Some of the bansos programs include the distribution of Family Hope Program (PKH), Sembako Card, and the Smart Indonesia Program, or PIP, in February and March 2025.
The announcement was made after a limited meeting at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Monday, February 17, 2025. Prabowo was accompanied by his ministers, including Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, Investment Minister Rosan P. Roeslani, and the Chairperson of DEN Luhut B. Panjaitan.
