'Coach Prime' Deion Sanders didn't take kindly to a question about his health on Wednesday, batting away speculation over the mystery issue that has kept him out of the limelight in Colorado.
Sanders, 57, has been away from his team this spring, missing multiple events including former player Travis Hunter's wedding, and a Colorado training camp that he was contractually obliged to attend.
He returned for a Big 12 Media Day on Wednesday, sitting in front of reporters for the first time in months - and unsurprisingly some were keen to find out whether he is back to full health.
David Ubben of The Athletic was the unlucky reporter to light the fuse with Sanders, asking what the 'challenges of the health issues' affecting the coach have been.
In response, Sanders was in no mood to discuss his personal matters, clapping back: '[The] Athletic, sometimes y'all be on that bulljunk.
'So, I'm really not going to tell you much. You know that. But I'm not here to talk to you about my health, I'm here to talk about my team.'

When pressed for further information about the offseason on his ranch has been, Coach Prime added: 'Every day I'm living good! I'm living lovely. God has truly blessed me. Not a care in the world. Not a want or desire in the world.'
Sanders has suffered multiple health scares in recent years, including surgery in 2023 to fix blood clots in his left leg.
No information has yet been shared about his current afflictions, but his appearance on Wednesday indicated that he is returning to full health.
Last month, Sanders shared a positive update on his X account, telling fans: 'I can assure you all that everything is OKAY and will continue to be so.

The legendary NFL star and two-time Super Bowl champion is heading into his third season as head coach of Colorado.
In his first year the team went 4-8, but a 9-4 year in 2024 turned the tide and there is hope that they will once again enjoy a winning season in '25.
