Floods in Jakarta Inundate 39 Neighborhood Units, 13 Roads on Sunday

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) recorded that 39 neighborhood units (RT) and 13 roads in Jakarta were flooded due to heavy rains in the region.

"The flooding occurred due to heavy rains in Jakarta and its surrounding areas from Saturday to Sunday," said Mohamad Yohan, Head of the Disaster Data and Information Center at the Jakarta BPBD, in Jakarta on Sunday, March 8, 2026.

The Jakarta BPBD has taken various measures to mitigate the impact of the flooding in affected areas.

According to him, the latest data shows that flooding has inundated 39 RTs and 13 roads in West Jakarta and South Jakarta.

Yohan said the water level is around 20 centimeters (cm) and reached a maximum of 1.5 meters.

"In Pela Mampang Village, one RT is inundated by floodwaters up to 1.5 meters," he said.

The following 39 neighborhood units (RTs) and 13 roads were flooded as of early Sunday morning:

West Jakarta has 19 neighborhood units, consisting of:

Kedaung Kali Angke Village: 4 neighborhood units
Water depth: 60-70 cm

South Kedoya Village: 4 neighborhood units
Water depth: 30 cm

North Kedoya Village: 4 neighborhood units
Water depth: 20 cm

South Sukabumi Village: 2 neighborhood units
Water depth: 120 cm

Joglo Village: 1 neighborhood unit
Water depth: 65 cm

South Kembangan Village: 2 neighborhood units
Water depth: 50 cm

North Kembangan Village: 2 neighborhood units
Water depth: 60 cm

South Jakarta has 20 neighborhood units, consisting of:

West Cilandak Village: 1 neighborhood unit
Water depth: 120 cm

Kelurahan North Cipete: 3 neighborhood units
Height: 100 cm

Petogogan Village: 12 neighborhood units
Height: 20 cm

Pela Mampang Village: 1 neighborhood unit
Height: 150 cm

Duren Tiga Village: 1 neighborhood unit
Height: 50 cm

East Cilandak Village: 2 neighborhood units
Height: 120 cm

The following roads are flooded:

1. Srengseng Raya Street, Srengseng Village
2. Daan Mogot Street, KM 13, Rawa Buaya Village
3. Green Garden Housing Complex (MCD) Street, North Kedoya Village
4. South Meruya Street, South Meruya Village
5. Daan Mogot Street (Infront of Victoria), East Cengkareng Village
6. Daan Mogot City Park Bus Stop Street, Kedaung Kali Angke
7. Jl. Kapten Pierre Tendean, West Kuningan Subdistrict
8. Jl. Cileduk Raya (Seskoal), Cipulir Subdistrict
9. Jl. Cileduk Raya (ITC Underpass), Cipulir Subdistrict
10. Jl. Cileduk Raya (Shell Gas Station), Ulujami Subdistrict
11. Jl. Bintaro Permai Raya (H. Gari) Subdistrict, Pesanggrahan Subdistrict
12. Jl. Beo, Pesanggrahan Subdistrict
13. Jl. Swadarma Raya, Ulujami Subdistrict
Water level: 10-120 cm.

The Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has deployed personnel to monitor flooding conditions in each area and coordinated with the Water Resources Agency, the Public Works Agency, and the Fire and Rescue Agency to de-flood the floodwaters and ensure the water channels are functioning properly.

"We urge the public to remain cautious and alert to potential flooding. In an emergency, immediately call 112. This service is free and operates 24/7," he said.
