TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Floods inundated several areas in Jakarta, Bogor, and Tangerang last weekend. In Jakarta, the overflow of Ciliwung River caused 53 neighborhoods to be submerged from Saturday to Sunday, July 5-6, 2025.

The Head of Data and Information Center of the BPBD DKI Jakarta Mohamad Yohan stated on Sunday, July 6, 2025, that the flood level in several locations in Jakarta reached up to 2.7 meters. The BPBD also reported that four road sections were flooded at a height of 10 to 18 centimeters. All of them are located in West Jakarta, including Kembangan and Adi Karya Streets.

By 6:00 PM WIB on Sunday, the floods in several areas started to recede, including in Gedong, Kebon Baru, and Tanjung Barat. One flooded road, Jalan Ciledug Raya, has also returned to normal.

Meanwhile, the current total of flood evacuees has reached 371 people. They are spread across seven evacuation locations, with the largest concentration in Bidara Cina and Kampung Melayu.

In the meantime, handling the floods is ongoing until Sunday night. Yohan stated, "We are deploying personnel together with relevant agencies for water suction and recovery efforts. Our target is for the floods to recede quickly." The BPBD urges residents to remain vigilant against the potential for subsequent floods and to immediately contact the 112 emergency service in case of an emergency. This service is available 24 hours a day and free of charge.

In Bogor, heavy rain that fell on the regency since Saturday night, July 5, 2025, caused several areas to be hit by floods and landslides. Based on preliminary data, the Bogor Regent, Rudy Susmanto, mentioned that a total of 18 districts and 33 villages were submerged in water.

Rudy explained that the first flood points were in Megamendung District - Cipayung Village, Cipayung Girang Village, and Gadog Village. Then Sukamahi Village and Megamendung Village experienced a landslide, causing the death of a 22-year-old Islamic school student. "The victim was reported missing, but has now been successfully evacuated," said Rudy in a written statement on Sunday, July 6, 2025.

Other flood points were in the Cisarua District, namely Kopo Village, Tugu Utara Village, and Tugu Village. In these villages, landslides occurred, resulting in damage to 3 access roads and 1 house. Furthermore, the flooding from the Gunung Mas Rest Area submerged residential areas and caused extensive damage to 2 houses. In Ciburial Village, two people were reported dead.

The floods in Bojong Koneng Village, Babakan Madang District, prevented several nature enthusiasts from descending the hiking trails, but they have now been successfully evacuated. Rudy stated that the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Rapid Response Team (TRC), and Tim Mata Garuda have been deployed to all affected points to conduct evacuations, data collection, and emergency response.

According to Rudy, the current priority is the safety of residents and ensuring that the basic needs of disaster-affected victims are promptly met. The Bogor Regency government continues to intensively coordinate the establishment of emergency posts, distribute logistical assistance, and provide medical services to affected residents.

Separately reported, the Tangerang Regency Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in Banten mentioned that a total of 2,275 residents in Cirumpak Village, Tanjung Burung Village were affected by the flood disaster due to the overflow of the Cisadane River.

The Head of Extinguishing and Rescue division of the Tangerang Regency BPBD, Agun Guntara, stated that the flood disaster affecting thousands of people was inundated with water varying in height from 40 to 60 centimeters.

"The flood was caused by the overflow of the Cisadane River due to the high rainfall that occurred from Saturday to early Sunday," said Agun in confirmation to Antara on Sunday, July 6, 2025. He explained that as a result of the flood, three Neighborhood Associations (Rukun Warga) with five Neighborhood Units (Rukun Tetangga) had a total of 702 households.

The Tangerang Regency BPBD team continued to monitor and oversee several flooded areas with water levels of 40 centimeters until Sunday night. For the distribution of logistical assistance or food necessities, the BPBD coordinated with relevant agencies and the rehabilitation and reconstruction division for disasters.
