TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Chief Operating Officer of the Investment Management Agency (BPI), Danantara, Dony Oskaria, stated that there is an opportunity for foreign figures to serve on Danantara's advisory board.
Dony mentioned considering the involvement of foreign figures so that they can provide advice according to their expertise in various fields, such as risk management, investment, and other necessary areas for building a good governance in investment management.
"With their expertise, they are expected to provide advice on how to create and establish good governance in the government's investment management," Dony said at the Presidential Palace, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
Dony said that he will submit the resumes of foreign figures to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. He stated that the names being submitted are those of the best professionals. "Because they also want to be part of the dedication, especially those who are already senior and excellent CEOs," he said.
The Head of the Investment Management Agency (BPI) Danantara, Rosan Roeslani, stated that President Prabowo has ordered for Danantara's structure to be filled with the best individuals and not through connections. "The President conveyed to us to choose the best individuals for the Danantara team. There should be no connections. Choose the best. Not only from Indonesia, the best in the world will also be included as some alternative names," said Rosan after a meeting with Prabowo at the Presidential Palace, Central Jakarta, March 5, 2025.
Rosan stated that the composition of the team will be announced next week, including the advisory board to the operational level. "Hopefully in the near future. Perhaps next week, I think we will announce the names," said Rosan. "So that the public, and the community, can see and assess that the names sitting as managers and also in the management of Danantara are reputable names, with proven track records, clean, and indeed have expertise in their field."
Rosan stated that the resumes of these names will be sent to President Prabowo for selection.
President Prabowo Subianto launched the National Investment Management Agency abbreviated as Danantara at the Presidential Palace, Central Jakarta, on February 24, 2025. Rosan was appointed as the head of Danantara. Meanwhile, Pandu Sjahrir was appointed as the CIO and Dony Oskaria as the COO.
Pandu Sjahrir is a businessman who currently serves as the Chair of Digital Financial Development at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin). Meanwhile, Dony Oskaria still holds the position of Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises. Prabowo also appointed the Chair and Vice Chair of Danantara's Supervisory Board. Both are Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir as the Chair of the Supervisory Board and the former Chairman of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Commissioner Board Muliaman Hadad as the Vice Chair of Danantara's Supervisory Board.
