TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Google announces several upcoming updates for Gemini Advanced set to roll out in the next few months.
In the February Newsletter sent to Google AI Premium customers priced at US$19.99 per month, the company highlights the latest experimental models and upcoming additional features.
As quoted from 9to5Google, Google introduces two new models, namely Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental and Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking.
Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental is claimed to be more accurate in providing information and superior in programming and mathematics, allowing users to complete complex tasks more easily and accurately.
Meanwhile, Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking is built with the speed and performance of 2.0 Flash, and displays AI thought processes transparently, enabling users to see the reasons behind each answer, the assumptions used, and the steps of its reasoning.
Google also highlights the launch of the Recall feature in the Gemini app and the previously introduced NotebookLM Premium last week.
In addition, Google provides more previews of upcoming updates in the coming months. The first update includes the latest video, image, and audio creation tools, with possible priority access to Imagen 3, which was last updated in January, and Veo 2, which is currently on the Google Labs waiting list.
Meanwhile, next-generation audio technology may refer to MusicLM and/or Lyria, which could be part of the Gemini Advanced ecosystem.
The next update is an agent-based tool that can take actions automatically, allowing users to be more productive by saving time. In this category, there is Project Mariner, which was previously announced by Google CEO Sundar Pichai to be coming to the Gemini app this year.
Additionally, AI agent capabilities may soon be integrated into Google Workspace. This was showcased during a demo at Google I/O 2024, where Gemini demonstrated its ability to automatically sort email attachments in Drive, generate spreadsheets using available data, and analyze them through Data Q&A.
Google also announced enhancements to its AI models, enabling users to tackle more complex projects with improved efficiency. Notably, Gemini 2.0 Pro is set to transition from an experimental phase to a stable version, establishing itself as the standard model for Gemini Advanced users.
