TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Heavy rain drenched the Jabodetabek area on Monday afternoon, March 10, 2025. According to the The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) early weather warning issued at 12:00 PM WIB (Western Indonesian Time), moderate to heavy rainfall was recorded in South Tangerang, Depok, and parts of Bogor and Bekasi Regencies.
In Jakarta, rainfall was observed in South Jakarta and East Jakarta, with BMKG warning that the rain could expand and persist until 02:00 PM WIB. The affected areas may extend to Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, West Jakarta, and other parts of South and East Jakarta.
The same weather pattern is expected in Depok, South Tangerang, Bekasi Regency, and Bogor Regency, with the possibility of further rain spread within these regions. Additionally, Bogor City, Bekasi City, Tangerang City, and Tangerang Regency could also experience heavy rainfall.
Simultaneously, BMKG issued an early warning for moderate to heavy rain in West Java (outside Bogor-Depok-Bekasi), specifically in Purwakarta and West Bandung. This warning is effective from 01:00 PM to 04:00 PM WIB. Central Java is also advised to remain alert, as BMKG predicts moderate to extreme rain from March 10 to 13, 2025.
Besides Central Java, BMKG has listed several other regions at risk of intense rainfall, including Aceh, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, Papua Highlands, Central Papua, and Papua.
