IHSG Strengthens This Afternoon, Closes at 6,284.4

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) recorded a positive movement in today's trading first session, Wednesday, March 19, 2025. IHSG closed up +0.98 percent or parked at the level of 6,284.4.

"After falling sharp yesterday, the IHSG managed to make a positive move," said the Samuel Sekuritas team in a written statement on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

At the end of today's trading first session, 350 stocks strengthened, while 243 weakened, and 244 stagnated. Meanwhile, the value of trading transactions in the first session reached Rp8.5 trillion, with a trading frequency of 643,741 times and a trading volume of 110.1 million lots.

The gold mining company PT J Resources Asia Pasifik Tbk (PSAB) became the most actively traded stock in the first session today. PSAB recorded a transaction frequency of 50,137 times, followed by BBCA 31,419 times, and BBRI 27,527 times.

In terms of volume, the GoTo Gojek Tokopedia (GOTO) stock became the most traded in the first session today. GoTo recorded a trading volume of 6.5 million lots, followed by PSAB 6.2 million, and BRMS 2.5 million.

The technology sector index (IDXTECHNO) showed a positive movement of +9.1 percent, becoming the sectoral index with the highest increase in today's first session, supported by the strengthening of several technology stocks that had previously weakened, such as DCII +19.9 percent, and EDGE +15.1 percent. The positive movement was followed by the energy sector index (IDXENERGY) +1.2 percent, and property (IDXPROPERT) +0.8 percent.

Meanwhile, the health sector index (IDXHEALTH) percent returned to be the sectoral index with the deepest decline in today's first session with -0.1 points. In second place was the industrial sector index (IDXINDUST), down 0.1%, followed by the transportation sector index (IDXTRANS) -0.1 percent.

The top five gainers in the first session today based on percentage increase are as follows:

1. LION (+22.9 percent to Rp482 per share)

2. IFII (+22.5 percent to Rp294 per share)

3. UVCR (+21.6 percent to Rp73 per share)

4. DCII (+19.9 percent to Rp138,950 per share)

5. NAIK (+17.6 percent to Rp600 per share)

Meanwhile, the top five losers in the first session today based on percentage decrease are as follows.

1. FMII (-17.2 percent to Rp384 per share)

2. BISI (-12.7 percent to Rp960 per share)

3. GPSO (-11.5 percent to Rp430 per share)

4. GMTD (-9.8 percent to Rp2,250 per share)

5. FAST (-9.5 percent to Rp208 per share)
