TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto announced that the Indonesia-Singapore Leaders' Retreat resulted in 26 concrete agreements spanning both government-to-government and business-to-business sectors.
"This meeting resulted in 26 concrete, tangible achievements in various sectors, 18 government-to-government cooperation agreements and eight business-to-business (B2B) agreements," said President Prabowo in an official joint statement with Singaporean PM Lawrence Wong at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday, July 6, 2026.
According to Prabowo, the agreements reflect the deepening integration of ties between the two countries, with the economic sector remaining a key pillar of bilateral relations.
The increase in cooperation volume was recorded across nearly all strategic sectors, including commodity trade and regional connectivity.
Indonesia has appointed the sovereign wealth fund Danantara to oversee the implementation of the electricity trade deal between Indonesia and Singapore.
"Indonesia has appointed BPI Danantara to implement cross-border electricity trade cooperation, as well as for trade activities and beyond," said President Prabowo.
In addition to cross-border electricity exports, the draft cooperation agreement also targets digital economy acceleration, bolstering the digital ecosystem, defense, cybersecurity, and food supply chain resilience.
Prabowo emphasized that the successful implementation of dozens of commercial and government agreements requires fundamental support from strengthened people-to-people connectivity.
Indonesia and Singapore agreed to continue promoting partnerships in tourism, sustainable education, and collaboration between youth organizations.
