Indonesia Records About US$136.9 Million in Weekly Foreign Inflows, Says BI

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bank Indonesia (BI) reported a net inflow of Rp2.29 trillion (approximately US$136.9 million) in foreign capital entering the domestic financial market during the week of November 17-20, 2025.

Ramdan Denny Prakoso, Executive Director of BI’s Communication Department, said the inflow was driven by a net buy of Rp3.93 trillion (US$235.0 million) by non-resident investors in the stock market.

“There was also a net buy of Rp2.66 trillion (US$159.1 million) in the government bond (SBN) market, while the Rupiah Securities (SRBI) market recorded a net sell of Rp4.3 trillion (US$257.1 million),” Denny said in an official statement on Sunday, November 23, 2025.

From January 1 to November 20, 2025, non-resident investors booked net sells of Rp32.17 trillion (US$1.92 billion) in equities, Rp6.52 trillion (US$389.9 million) in SBN, and Rp143.83 trillion (US$8.60 billion) in SRBI. Indonesia’s 5-year credit default swap (CDS) premium stood at 75.27 basis points as of November 20, up from 73.90 bps on November 14.

Meanwhile, the Indonesia Composite Index (IHSG) strengthened 0.52 percent during the November 17–21 period. The index closed at 8,414.3 on Friday, November 21, rising from 8,370.4 a week earlier.

“Trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange showed mixed movements throughout the week,” said Kautsar Primadi Nurahmad, Corporate Secretary of the IDX.

The exchange’s market capitalization increased 0.49 percent to Rp15,391 trillion (US$920.38 billion) from Rp15,316 trillion (US$915.90 billion) the previous week. However, the average daily transaction value fell 8.45 percent to Rp21.37 trillion (US$1.28 billion), compared with Rp23.34 trillion (US$1.40 billion) in the prior week.
